How Do I Do A Background Check On Someone?
Also, can it be done for free?
I need to rent my extra room out to someone, but feel that I should do some sort of background check before actually doing so. I Googled one guy’s name and he came up as a sex offender, so yeah, I really think I should figure out how to check out these people that want to move in with me. How should I go about it?

which state are you in. some states ie New york all that information is private. There is also the opposite, florida, where it all public info and anyone can see it online clerk of courts and look for the public search
in florida each county has its own public records database. sadly you have to go to each one to run the name. it will give you arrest dates and basic charges, not necessarily the verdict. just search

has a decent of areas you can run names through.

You can do using this site. Click on SSN or run background check inside the site. Paid option is the best to choose if you are serious to do a background check.
You make me sick, it is bad enough that is is almost impossible for felons and sex offenders to be able to get an apartment, they need somewhere to live, beside once they have done their tme they should be able to go on with their life and you shouldnt judge
